About White Salmon United Methodist Church
OUR HISTORY
White Salmon United Methodist Church History
*The Methodist Church was founded by John Wesley, born
in Epworth, England in 1703.
*The White Salmon Methodist Church was organized in
1908 and the original building was built in 1910.
*In 1957 a new sanctuary was completed and the 1910
worship area became the Wesleyan Hall, our fellowship
area. In 1968 the Methodist church merged with the
Evangelical United Brethren Church to form the United
Methodist church, to which the White Salmon congregation
now belongs.
We are connected to and governed by the Pacific
Northwest Conference (Washington, Northern Idaho
and Vancouver, B.C.) and we are one of the Crest to
Coast (Vancouver) District United Methodist churches.
There are 200 + United Methodist Churches in the PNW
Conference, led by Bishop Cedrick Bridgeforth.
